Do I need to see my Doctor before coming to see a Physiotherapist at PERFORM PHYSIOTHERAPY?
It is not necessary to see your GP before being seen by a Chartered Physiotherapist. If at any stage of your treatment it is necessary to involve the GP or your future management requires further specialist referrals, we will organise a comprehensive report and make recommendation as appropriate.
Does Physiotherapy hurt?
Some clients can experience discomfort during certain treatment techniques and up to maximum of 48 hours afterwards. However all options are discussed with the client before treatment commences and techniques are only administered to improve healing processes and thus reduce pain.
What should I wear?
It is imperative the Physiotherapist is able to conduct a thorough assessment of the area causing the problem. Bring shorts of it below the waist and a vest if above the waist. At PERFORM PHYSIOTHERAPY we always endeavor to respect patient dignity at all times and will use towels and clothing as appropriate for patient comfort.
